Marilyn Monroe, The Prince and the Showgirl

“So I said, ‘Chanel N°5’, because it’s the truth…
And yet, I don’t want to say ‘nude’. But it’s the truth!”
– Marilyn Monroe

Despite Marilyn Monroe’s notable affinity for Chanel’s most iconic perfume, it’s surprising to discover she never appeared in a No. 5 advertisement during her lifetime. It’s refreshing to look back at a time when endorsement deals were far fewer, and, at least in Marilyn’s case, her praise of the perfume appears genuine.

This fall, Chanel will debut a new advertising campaign with Marilyn at its center. Chanel has already posted a nicely edited video on its website, detailing Marilyn’s love affair with its fragrance. Marilyn's Secret Lives...✈❤ ♧

I am half way through my “Secret Lives Of Marilyn Monroe” novel and I think its amazing! I have finally found a genre that I am interested in. I am especially making an effort to read it, I am making time amongst other work to relax and enjoy it. I saw reading as more as a chore but now I am really getting into it. I am even looking at other novels I can buy and hopefully enjoy them as much as I’m enjoying this. A fabulous novel that I would definitely recommend…”The Secret Lives Of Marilyn Monroe”

Stars in The Sky ★

Wow! This is such an amazing picture! Two of the world’s biggest stars of all time in the same picture. Towering above the rest of society looking over amazing views. The amazing black and white colouring gives it an almost sinister aura. The classical stars that will never be replaced and has touched so many people’s hearts. Amazing Picture!

ImageI came across this artwork whilst browsing on the internet last week. I think it’s absolutely amazing! It’s been drawn by a Manchester based artist and it not yet currently for sale. I would love to be able to draw to this standard; it is such a rewarding thing to produce such a fantastic piece. I’m sure it won’t sell for anything less than it deserves anyway! I’m sure a keen Marilyn fan like myself will pay an extraordinary amount for this.

So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly keep smiling. Because life is a beautiful thing and there is so much to smile about.

“I believe everything happens for a reason, people change so you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together”

I have gained a new follower, and my post has been liked! Seems people are reading my blog after all! I came across a book this week that I really fancy reading, and that is really out of nature for me! I found it whilst shopping last Saturday and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into reading it! The book it titled “The Secret Lives of Marilyn Monroe” by Anthony Summers, as I mentioned my true inspiration is Marilyn Monroe and I would love reading anything associated with her! I am looking forward to reading this book and I hope this will be the first of many! Image
